What’s Happening
Dear Family of Friends,
It has been a few months since I have posted. I took a bit of a retreat in solitude over the holidays to gather more energy for the upcoming events of this New Cycle. It is very exciting! Music, Movement (external and internal!), Education, Creative Projects, and more!
THE TRUTHSEEKERS:
I am thrilled to report the long-awaited release of The Truthseekers’ 2nd CD is close at hand. We have been working toward putting finishing touches on the project, and the band is sounding more locked in than ever! Stay tuned for the CD Release Party info. Also, if you have NOT seen the
“To Get By/Star Wars Remix” video featuring not only a few members of the band, but also Eric’s son, Jaden…you GOTTA CHECK IT OUT! Jaden is getting airplay on some radio stations. REMEMBER: If you want either The Truthseekers or Jaden & The Beat Droids to get airplay in your town, you can contact your local station, make a request, and provide them with a link to the YouTube videos. It’s all about community!
KAIROSONIC…Journey On:
This website was developed (and still in development) to offer information about the “journey” music, nature-inspired events for children and adults, and Holotropic Breathwork™ workshops for those interested in inner exploration with this specific modality of healing developed by Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof. If you would like updates on upcoming events, please feel free to join the mailing list.
I am working toward completion of my certification as a facilitator of Breathwork workshops in June, and also developing a nature-based workshop series for kids. Music In Nature™ will be offered late spring and throughout the summer months to bring kids closer to the too-often-forgotten wonders of the natural world. I recently heard Edward O. Wilson, a professor at Harvard state, “The scientists and medical researchers are coming to the realization that it is a big mistake for humanity to separate itself from the rest of the living world. The vast majority of the species out there are our friends…not our enemies.”
As humans, we are only one small part of this living grid. With some of our carelessness in past and present actions, we have created an imbalance in the interdependent web of life. The good news: If we can be so impactful…we can be impactful for the good of all living beings. And teaching our children, and ourselves, to spend a little less time in front of a computer screen or television, and a little more time outdoors listening and watching the intricacies of the wilderness…we can gift our children with a deeper education than can be gleaned from books or film alone. Though our website is still in development, Lynda Carré (Santa Monica-based yoga and meditation teacher, graphic designer, and more!) and I are opening the doors on a project in the works for several months now. LIFELONG EDUCATION:
YES! I am still pursuing a degree in Human Development/EcoPsychology, and because school started again last week, I have much homework to get started on! I will be sending out a general update soon with more info on upcoming events and news.
